Personal Update: Sorry for sending the recording of last week’s class today! The person who helps me with it had to go to the hospital and have an unexpected surgery. She is doing better now, but still recovering.

Class Overview

Meta-learning has been my #1 learning passion over the last 9 years, so my thoughts on how to use AI to increase our own learning are the most tested and refined.

During the session, we:

  • Examined how productivity gains from the Industrial Revolution inform AI adoption (fun fact: I spent 500+ hours in 2022 deep diving on the 50x productivity gains in manual work during the 20th century)

  • Analyzed common constraints in traditional learning methods (by understanding our old constraints, we can unconstrain ourselves now)

  • Explored Google's Deep Research and other AI tools for information synthesis (the tools available today for learning are profound)

  • Looked at ways to build systematic research workflows using available AI tools (a step-by-step overview of a learning chain of prompts)

  • Discussed practical approaches to managing information overload (the mindset shift that was shared here can be your hidden competitive advantage)

  • Reviewed real examples of AI-assisted research and learning processes (I shared my current system that I created)
