Hey there,
I have quick, time-sensitive announcement for you…
My Mentor’s Free Coach Expo Starts Today
My mentor, partner, and friend, Eben Pagan, officially launches his annual Coach Expo today at 11:00am EST, and there is NO COST to participate.
It is a week of powerful interviews and presentations from the top coaches in the world.
There are 20+ coaches with 7-figure coaching and teaching businesses, many of whom I know and deeply respect, sharing their top strategies for building confidence, getting clients, and helping clients get great results!
This year, guests include:
Jeff Walker (of product launch formula fame)
Marisa Murgatroyd (creator of the best course creator program in the world that I’m aware of)
Evan Carmichael (creator of the #1 YouTube clips channel)
Ryan Levesque (creator of the ASK Method, which has really helped me understand clients)
Among many others
Why I Recommend Coaching As A Key Part Of Thought Leadership
In my opinion, one-on-one coaching is the #1 step to take in order to become a course creator or create educational content.
Here’s why:
It allows you to get started faster. You don’t have to create a whole curriculum or course brand before getting started.
It gives you 10x better feedback. Speaking from personal experience, when you’re teaching in a group environment, you only get low resolution into the details of each student’s journey. So, you don’t get a full understanding of their challenges. Thus, your curriculum is less effective.
It helps you create a much better course curriculum. As we move into a world where people regularly buy courses to upskill, I think quality will become more important. In other words, does your curriculum consistently deliver on the results it promises? This means not only teaching people skills, it means help people navigate emotionally and mindset-wise through the challenges that arise on the journey.
You get to see the impact over time. It’s an amazing feeling to see someone transform before your eyes and do things they couldn’t before.
It is for these reasons that I’m actually spending more time doing one-on-one coaching, not less, as I grow my business.
I used to think that one-on-one coaching was a bad model, because it doesn’t scale. But, now I see it as an essential and deeply rewarding step that is 100% necessary for scaling. This is why the #1 startup coach in the world actually recommends that tech startups do things that don’t scale in the beginning.
Bottom line: I full heartedly recommend Eben, his programs, and this program in particular. I have been a past speaker in it. Furthermore, my wife actually attended two years ago, and invested in a program she learned about that has changed her life directly and my life by extension.
Eben focuses on training coaches. Ryan Levesque focuses on training people in understanding and selling customers. Marissa Murgatroyd focuses on course creators, and I've heard really good things about her from students who have taken her courses.
Hi Michael. Very interesting. You write that Eben Pagan, Marisa Murgatroyd and Ryan Levesque are interesting course creators. May I ask who else you consider to be the best in course creation (marketing, writing, business, productivity, etc.)?
