Class Overview
In our fourth session of Augmented Awakening, we were more informal and focused on whatever was coming up for people related to the course topic.
While we hit on several themes, we particularly explored a critical challenge that nearly everyone faces in the AI era: the feeling of information overwhelm. As technology accelerates and capabilities multiply daily, many of us feel caught in a storm of possibilities, tools, and approaches, uncertain where to focus our attention and energy.

We examined how our nervous systems respond to novelty and uncertainty
Developed practical frameworks for moving forward with confidence
Explored how meaning-making patterns create or dissolve feelings of overwhelm
Deconstructed our reflexive responses to rapid technological change
Practiced nervous system regulation techniques for maintaining equilibrium
Developed a recursive next-step function for breaking through paralysis
Transformed limiting language patterns that reinforce feeling stuck
Applied metaphors to organize seemingly chaotic information
Distinguished between content resistance and process resistance
Examined the balance between agency and surrender in technological adoption
Cultivated the meta-skill of adaptability through practical exercises
